Steven MorvaySteven Morvay, EVP, Managing Director or SendTec, has direct responsibility for SendTec's Account Services and Search Engine Marketing groups.  He is a member of both the Operating Committee and Executive Committees.  His more than 25 years of experience on both the client and agency side provides a major resource both internally and directly to our client base.

Starting his career at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, Steven moved through the ranks within media and account services on clients General Foods, Procter & Gamble and TWA for North America and Europe.  As Senior Vice President of Ogilvy & Mather Direct and President of Saatchi & Saatchi Direct North America, Steven was part of the teams that spearheaded many of the breakthrough programs that currently make up much of the activity in database marketing driven businesses today.  These included major acquisition, retention and continuity programs for AT&T, Northwest Airlines, TWA, General Foods, Kimberly Clark and the British Royal Mint.

As Senior VP Marketing at retailer Waldenbooks, the group under his control successfully conceived, positioned, designed and launched the Super Store division, which is now Borders Books and Music.  His group was also responsible for helping to build the company’s frequent buyer program to over 3 million members while implementing the first database driven marketing effort directly to retail customers in the book industry.

As President of Collier Newfield Inc., an International direct marketer of children’s book clubs and continuity card programs, a major turn-around of the company was conducted including enhancement of the new product development program and introduction of both e-commerce and DRTV distribution channels. The company also executed long term licensing deals with Paramount Pictures, Harper Collins, Microsoft and the CD-Rom game maker Sierra-On-Line.

As Managing Partner of Morvay Group L.L.C., Steven built a firm specializing in working with Direct Marketing companies in their quest to learn the Internet channel and Internet companies as they realized the power of Direct Marketing.  Clients included RealNetworks, Clear Channel Entertainment, Cablevision and AvenueA.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and  is an avid tennis player, musician and guest lecturer at his alma mater.
